Thomas Wrede is the Vice President, Product Management Media at SES ASTRA in Betzdorf/Luxembourg, where he and his team are responsible for defining and managing the satellite operator’s products and services portfolio for customers from the media industry.

Thomas Wrede joined SES ASTRA in 1992 as a Senior Systems Engineer. He has been deeply involved in the development of digital satellite television, in-home signal distribution concepts, digital satellite radio, satellite return channel technology, Internet via satellite, High Definition Television and most recently Satellite Mobile Services.

Prior to working for SES ASTRA Thomas was leading an engineering team at the cable amplifier and satellite reception equipment manufacturer FTE in Germany.
